New York Strand has this unique atmosphere to it that always makes me feel like I'm right at home, and you always get that feeling right when you walk through those doors. For me, Strand is a great place just to relax and explore books that I have never had the chance to find in other places. I think that many would agree that Strand is like a second home for some of us, it's like a little quiet sanctuary in the middle of the city, and a place where you can let your imagination take you anywhere.

The person you see in the photo is my friend Lynn, we were both immediately drawn to the Christianity section located in the basement and decided to take our photo by a corner surrounded with books. I took this shot using a ladder and raised my arms over her head to take the photo.
