This shot of the front corner of the Strand's third floor rare & signed book section, shows a variety of volumes from many decades throughout the history of the printed word. The floor itself contains a hodgepodge collection of modern and antique bookcases, display cases, tables and hutches, all to hold, contain, support and embrace some of the finest examples of literature throughout the ages. I thought it would be fun to take this shot in B&W to extend the timeless quality that is found here.
